1963 — San Francisco’s Wilt Chamberlain scores 56 points but the Warriors suffer a 134-129 loss to the Cincinnati Royals.

1966 — Chamberlain tallies 65 points to lead the Philadelphia 76ers to a 132-125 win over the Los Angeles Lakers.

1978 — The New Jersey Nets were unable to travel due to a blizzard, leading to the postponement of a game against the San Antonio Spurs. The game was made up on March 7 with the Spurs prevailing 129-98.

1985 — Isiah Thomas has 24 points to go with 25 points but the Detroit Pistons lose 128-126 in double-overtime to the Washington Bullets.

1988 — Michael Jordan of the Chicago Bulls scores 40 points to earn MVP honors and lead the East to a 138-133 over the West in the All-Star Game in Chicago. Jordan’s output was two points shy of the All-Star scoring record set by Chamberlain in 1961.

2004 — Phoenix’s Amar’e Stoudemire blocks 10 shots but the Suns fall 96-92 to the Utah Jazz.
