Hailing from Japan, this distinguished piano trio has captivated audiences worldwide and is widely celebrated for their masterful performances, artistic depth and technical precision.
Formed in 2016, the Aoi Trio — violinist Kyoko Ogawa, cellist Yu Ito, and pianist Kosuke Akimoto — gained global recognition by winning the prestigious ARD International Music Competition in Munich.
Since then, they have performed at major venues around the world, earning accolades for their dedication to both traditional and contemporary repertoire. Their name, “Aoi,” meaning hollyhock in Japanese, reflects their mission to inspire and delight audiences through music.

These masterpieces will showcase their remarkable technical precision and emotional depth, enhanced by Kahilu’s renowned Model D Steinway Concert Grand Piano.
