Police are requesting the public’s assistance to identify a man who is a person of interest in a theft that took place at a residence in Pahoa in October.

On Oct. 23, an unidentified man was observed on video surveillance walking around a private residence on Limu Street in the Hawaiian Beaches subdivision. It was later discovered that an item was observed missing from the area where the man was seen. This same man is a person of interest in a burglary investigation that occurred about a month earlier at the same residence.

The man is described as possibly being in his 30s, with a thin build, tan complexion and dark hair. He was last seen wearing a camouflage pattern hooded jacket and a Chicago White Sox ballcap.

Police ask that anyone who recognizes this individual call the police nonemergency line at (808) 935-3311. Those who prefer anonymity may call Crime Stoppers at (808) 961-8300.
