Christino “Tino” Paul Caravalho, 77, of Keaau died Oct. 6 at home. Born in Kohala, he was a retired landscaper for Paukea Bay Ranch and previously was a laborer for Kohala Plantation, nursery worker in the Cooling Plant in Waimea and logger/woodchipper for Capital Woodchipper Co. in Hamakua. Celebration of life 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14 at Keokea Beach Park in Kapaau. Survived by wife, Leona Maxine Moniz Caravalho of Keaau; children, Christino Caravalho Jr., Shaltan (Carla-Mae) Caravalho, Ryan Caravalho, Wade (Maribeth) Caravalho, Ian (Maylyn) Caravalho and Nevaeh Caravalho; siblings, Nora Fernandez of Waimea, Julio (Elaine) Fernandez and Oligaro Galo Fernandez of Kohala, Ernest Caravalho and Dora Perreira of Waimea; 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Born in Hilo, she was a retired housekeeper and stock clerk for Macy’s and the former Liberty House, a former janitor at St. Joseph School and former maintenance worker at C.W. Maintenance. Born in Honolulu, he was a retired Hawaii Police Department radio dispatcher, former disc jockey for KPUA Radio and the former KIPA Radio, U.S. Air Force veteran, member of Glad Tidings Church and loving husband, father and grandfather. Nohea Michael Huddleston, 59 of Hilo, formerly of Kihei, Maui, died Sept. 9 at home. Born in Honolulu, he was a member of Iron Workers Union Local 625 and president of No Cry Babies Motorcycle Club. Assemble for a bike run at 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, at Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium in Hilo. Depart the civic at 10 a.m. bound for Laupahoepohe Point Park, where a celebration of life will happen from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Food vendors/trucks available with a percentage of proceeds go to daughter, Makana. Water and soft drinks are provided.
