During Thursday’s holiday at Makani Golf Club, Eric Honda of Hilo notched a hole-in-one from the white tees on flag No. 5, sinking the ball in the cup from 187 yards out. Honda used a 6-iron, with Amy and Rylee Honda as the witnesses.

It was the club’s first hole-in-one since Nov. 8, 2023. The paper would like to congratulate Eric Honda on this great accomplishment!
