A Nov. 18 article stated that construction to remove fuel tanks at Halepohaku on Maunakea could begin by January. In fact, development on the project’s environmental assessment is expected to begin that month. West Hawaii Today also clarifies that these particular tanks are not known to have ever leaked since their installation. West Hawaii Today apologizes for the error.
