James Madison is considered the author of the Bill of Rights but he was not satisfied with the final document so he pushed for the bill of rights to include “The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.” Apparently, Justice Samuel Alito was unaware of the Ninth Amendment when he ruled that there was no right to abortion in the Constitution.
