KSH 3, Pahoa 0

Big Island Interscholastic Federation (BIIF) Division-I-leading Kamehameha Schools-Hawai‘i girls volleyball traveled Wednesday night to Pahoa town to take on the Daggers. The Warriors made quick work in their business trip, sweeping Pahoa by scores of 25-9, 25-18 and 25-23.

Camryn Grace and Shay Beals led the way in the kills department for KSH, combining for 13. The pair was set up consistently by teammate Maile Kuamo‘o, who dished 18 assists. Grace also secured three service aces.

With just two matches remaining before BIIF playoffs begin later this month, the Warriors still remain unbeaten at 14-0 — only falling in one set thus far in 2024 (Sept. 16 at Waiakea). They’ll look to keep riding their momentum in their next matchup against Ka‘u, slated for Wednesday night in Pahala.

The Daggers (5-6) next take on Laupahoehoe on Monday in Pahoa town.

JV: KSH wins 2-0 — 25-11, 25-15.

Parker 3, MLCA 0

Parker girls volleyball took back the No. 1 spot in BIIF Division II after a straight-sets victory over the visiting Makua Lani Christian Academy Lions on Wednesday inside Waimea District Park Gymnasium.

The Bulls won in straight sets — 25-12, 25-9 and 25-9. With the win, Parker soared to 11-1 — moving a half-game up on Hawaii Preparatory Academy at the top of the rankings (as of late Thursday afternoon, Oct. 3). They’ll next be tested against BIIF DI powerhouse Konawaena on Saturday in Waimea. First serve time is yet to be announced.

MLCA (0-13) next faces Kealakehe tonight inside the Waveriders’ gymnasium. Junior varsity will play first at 5 p.m.

JV: Parker wins 2-0 — 25-8, 25-10.
