Born in Keaau, she was a member of the Mauna Kea Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, a stay-at-home mother and had worked at the Keaau Papaya Factory, Hawaiian Sun Chocolate Factory and Cost-U-Less. Daisy Lilinoe (Chong) Ikeuchi

Daisy Lilinoe (Chong) Ikeuchi, 97, of Honokaa died Sept. 1 at home. Born in Waimea and raised in Waipio Valley, she was the owner of B. Ikeuchi &Sons Inc. and member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Honokaa Ward, Honokaa Senior Club, E Mau Na Ala Hele and Halau Manu Le‘a Hawaii. Private services held. The Rev. Tadamasa Nishimura, 92, of Hilo died Sept. 20 at home. Born in Yamaguchi-ken, Japan, he was a retired head minister for Tenrikyo Kilauea Church and member of Tenrikyo Hawaii Shima Kyoyukai. Marina “Nene” Vinluan, 95, of Honolulu, formerly of Hilo, died July 20 at St. Francis Hospice in Honolulu. Born in Hilo, she was a retired kitchen manager for Zippy’s Kapahulu on Oahu.
