Kamalu “Malu Boy” Sisoye Kabalis

Kamalu “Malu Boy” Sisoye Kabalis, 39, of Hilo died Aug. 24. Born in Hilo, he was a multi-sport athlete, having played baseball for Waiakea Uka, Waiakea Pirates and Lincoln Wreckers, competitive volleyball, including a BIIF championship at Waiakea High School, where he graduated in 2003. His hobbies included golf, boogie boarding, motorcycle riding, hunting, cooking and baking, and he was known to be mechanically inclined. Visitation 3-6 p.m. Tuesday (Sept. 10) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Memorial service at 4 p.m. Private burial at a later date. Casual attire; no flowers. Leoannalissa “Bebe” Nani Yung

Leoannalissa “Bebe” Nani Yung, 78, of Hilo died Aug. 25 at Hilo Benioff Medical Center. Born in Hilo, she was a retired legal secretary for Carlsmith Ball, member of Keaukaha Community Association, Keaukaha Canoe Club, Kamana Senior Center, Aha Puhala o Puna and Hale o Na Alii. Robert James Oliva Sr.

Robert James Oliva Sr., 59, of Pahoa died April 24 at Hilo Benioff Medical Center. Elizabeth Greed Peck

Elizabeth Greed Peck, 79, of Hilo died Aug. 28 at Hilo Benioff Medical Center. She was born in Teaneck, N.J. and was a retired English and women’s studies professor at the University of Nebraska at Kearney and co-editor of the 1997 book “Common Ground: Feminist Collaboration in the Academy.” Private services held. Tevita Puloka Haunga, 75, of Laupahoehoe died Aug. 3 in Salt Lake City. Born in Tonga, he was a retired general contractor and member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
