William “Bill” Roger Steffenhagen

William “Bill” Roger Steffenhagen, 72, of Kailua-Kona died July 24. Born in Kent, England, he was an artist, glass blower, musician, golfer and member of the U.S. Golf Association, U.S Navy sonar technician and exalted ruler of the Kona Elks Lodge. Services 11:15 a.m. Friday, Aug. 30, at West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery in Kailua Kona. Celebration of life in California at a later date. No flowers. Memorial donations to the Hunger Project. Survived by wife, Peri Steffenhagen; sister, Susan (Mike) Birchfield; daughter, Crystel (Jonathan) Squier; son, Billy (Bella) Steffenhagen; stepdaughter, Aurora (Cameron) Otto; two grandchildren. Sueko “Amy” Yamamoto

Sueko “Amy” Yamamoto, 93, of Hilo died July 20 at Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center in Hilo. She retired from Hilo Hattie, was a sales associate at the former Smartwear and member of Kinoole Baptist Church and Naniakea Kumiai. Visitation 9:30-10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24, at Kinoole Baptist Church. Celebration of life service at 10 a.m. No flowers, koden (monetary gifts) or food. Survived by sons, Ken Yamamoto and Ed (Phanida) Yamamoto; daughters, Lynn (Bradford) Oyama and Ruth (Rudy Valentino) Kahiwa; sister, Nancy Ogawa; eightgrandchildren and six great- grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Kelvin Franklin Laniakea Antonio

Kelvin Franklin Laniakea Antonio, 53, of Waimea died July 27 at Queen’s North Hawaii Community Hospital in Waimea. He was co-owner of West Hawaii Maintenance and a commercial fisherman. Visitation 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, at Waimea Hawaiian Homes Hall. Service at 11 a.m. Casual attire; no flowers. Survived by mother, Lucille; brothers, Ricky, Brian and Kevin; three nephews and two nieces; aunts, uncles and cousins. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.

Richard Takeo Igawa

Richard Takeo Igawa, 88, of Hilo died Aug 16. Born in Hilo, Hawai’i. he was a retired salesman, buyer and warehouse manager for Suisan Co. Private family service. survived by sons, Darin (Lauri) Igawa of Hilo and Derek (Jill) Igawa of Hilo; daughter, Sheri (Dave) Kojima of Hilo; and numerous grandchildren. Sally Laree Gunter

Sally Laree Gunter, 81, of Keaau died Aug. 11 at Hilo Benioff Medical Center. Born in Rocky Ford, Colo., she was retired from Catholic Charities Hawaii, owned and managed dress shops, was a buyer for Big “R” Farm &Ranch Supply, worked for VisionQuest’s Western Division and was a leader in the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts and member of Beta Sigma Phi International.
