Maria Jainar Alonzo, 85, of Keaau, died July 17 at Hilo Benioff Medical Center. Born in Pangasinan, Philippines, she was a retired papaya packer and member of the Keaau Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Keaau. Visitiation 5-6 p.m. today (Aug. 9) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel in Hilo, with wake service at 6 p.m. All-night vigil to follow at the family residence at 9 1/2 Mile Camp in Keaau. Second visitation to be held 9-10 a.m. Saturday (Aug. 10) at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, with Mass at 10 a.m. and burial to follow at Homelani Memorial Park. Casual attire. Survived by sons Antonio (Filomena) Alonzo of Kurtistown, Benido (Elvie Alonza) Alonzo of Kurtistown, Pepe (Hazel) Alonzo of Kurtistown and Julio (Alivia) Alonzo of Sacramento; daughters Imelda (Orly) Fernando of Kurtistown, Mila Gabi of Hong Kong, Augustina Gabi of Keaau, Celia (Elmer) Longboy of Paradise Park, Delia (Owen) Nakano of Hilo and Lani (Paul) Azevedo of Keaau; brothers Pedro Jainar and Roberto Jainar; sister Gertrude Duyanen; 27 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Albert Galimba

Albert Galimba, 84, of Pahala died July 5 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Wailuku, Maui, he was a retired boilermaker and welder, and a U.S. Marine Corps veterans. Sue Mukai, 89, of Hilo died Aug. 2 at home. Born in Yomitan, Okinawa, she was a homemaker, former cosmetic consultant for Pola, tour guide at Nani Mau Gardens, member of Deigo Club and Hui Okinawa. Marvin Abel Watts Sr.

Marvin Abel Watts Sr., 93, of Pahoa died July 9 at Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home in Hilo. Born in Waialua, Oahu, and he was a retired master carpenter, medically retired U.S. Army veteran serving as a master explosive ordinance disposal specialist, member of Pahoa High School Booster Club and co-founder of East Hawaii Foster Family Association. Gary Hitoshi Hiyoto, 81, of Hilo, died April 26 in Honolulu. Born in Hilo, he was a U.S. Army veteran, a retired clerk for Jas. W. Glover, Ltd. in Hilo and a member of the Hilo Meishoin Buddhist Temple. Private services held, no flowers or koden (monetary offerings). Survived by wife Sandra Hiyoto of Hilo; daughter Mari (Brad) Wakahiro of Mililani; son Brent (Kristi) Sumida of Hawaii kai, brother Harry Hiyoto of Honolulu, sister Helen Tanioka of California; four grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Violet De Coito, 97, of Hilo, died July 11 in Keaau. Born in Hilo, she was a homemaker and a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church.
