HILO — The Department of Parks &Recreation’s Elderly Activities Division (EAD) is pleased to announce the winners of the 49th Annual Hawai‘i Kupuna Softball Tournament, which took place July 17-18, 2024 in Hilo.
The winners are
as follows:
A Division
First place: Ku‘ikahi
Second place: Kona Sharks
Third place: Pueo
B Division
First place: Honomu Rockets
Second place: Tsunami
Third place: Sudden Impact
C Division
First place: Kupuna Pride
Second place: Local Boyz
Third place: Waha
The Department of Parks and Recreation congratulates the winners and all the players on 21 teams who participated in this tournament. The outcome of the tournament helps determine the seeding for the 48th Hawai‘i State Senior Softball Tournament, which will be hosted by EAD at Old A’s Ballfields at Kailua Park in Kona from August 6-8.
The County of Hawai‘i hosts this statewide tournament every four years, and 62 teams will participate in 2024.
