David Sheldon Makuakane

David Sheldon Makuakane, 78, of Pahoa died April 27 at home. Born in Pahoa, he was a retired U.S. Army sergeant first class and Vietnam War veteran. Larry G. Sellers

Larry G. Sellers, 68, of Pepeekeo died May 30 at home. Born in Twin Falls, Idaho, he was general manager and co-founder of Angel Farms Ministries and a U.S. Navy veteran. Private services held. Lawrence “Lefty” Masato Yanagisawa

Lawrence “Lefty” Masato Yanagisawa, 85, of Hilo died June 9 at Hilo Benioff Medical Center. Born in Pepeekeo, he was a retired branch administrator for state Department of Human Services Vocational Rehabilitation and Services for the Blind. He was a member of Taishoji Soto Mission in Hilo, Hilo AJA Bowling Club and Nisei Bowling Club of Hilo and Hawaii Air National Guard veteran. Visitation 2-3 p.m. Sunday, July 7, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Memorial service at 3 p.m. Casual attire; no koden (monetary gifts).
