Rev. Alapaki Kim

The Rev. Alapaki Kim, 71, of Keaau, formerly of Nanakuli, Oahu, died May 8 at home. Born in Battle Creek, Mich., he was retired as pastor of St. Rita Parish in Nanakuli and an ali‘i in the Royal Order of Kamehameha I. Vigil 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 27, at Co-Cathedral of St. Theresa, 712 N. School St. in Honolulu. Visitation 8-10 a.m. Friday, June 28, at the Co-Cathedral of St. Theresa. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Survived by son, Likeke Owali (Kawailani Lehua) Littlejohn of Nanakuli, Oahu; sisters, Rosalle Kehaulani (Jaread) Johnson of Manoa, Oahu, and C. Mamo (Scott) Kim of Humboldt, Calif.; hanai brother and sister, Glenn and Kathy Baybayan of Hilo; two grandchildren; nephews; a niece, grandnieces, and a grandnephew. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.

Teodoro Tomas Guerrero

Teodoro Tomas Guerrero, 74, of Kapaau died May 11 at Queen’s North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born in Dingras, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, he was a housekeeper at Mauna Lani Resort and member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Services held. Survived by his companion, Clarita Tagaca of Kapaau; daughters, Clarissa (Eric) Cruz of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, and Ma Criselda Guerrero of Bacoor, Philippines; sons, Gonzalo (Maricelle) Castillo of Bacoor, Philippines and Teodoro Guerrero Jr.; hanai daughter, Katherine Tagaca of Hawi; brothers, Henry (Lita) Guerrero of Ilocos Norte, Philippines, and Romy (Blesilda) Guerrero of Bacoor, Philippines; sisters, Ruth (Melchor) Dela Cruz of Alberta, Canada, and Olivia Guerrero; nieces and nephews. Darrell Wayne Gillis

Darrell Wayne Gillis, 64, of Mountain View died June 2 at home. Born in Honolulu, he was a self-employed mechanic. Private services held. Celebration of life at a later date. Daniel R. Andrade, Jr.

Daniel R. Andrade, Jr., 77, of Hilo died May 31 at home. Born in Hilo, he was a retired house painter and owner of Danny’s Home Painting, a 1965 graduate of St. Joseph High School, former police officer in Honolulu and the Big Island, and U.S. Navy Vietnam War veteran. Survived by wife, Linda Andrade of Hilo; son, Jeffrey Andrade of Pahoa; brother, Terrance (Tanya) Andrade of Idaho; brother-in-law, Douglas Wood of San Antonio; sister-in-law, Claire Bordner of Hilo; cousins, nieces and nephews. Takeko Ide

Takeko Ide, 95, of Honolulu, formerly of Hilo, died March 29 at Leahi Hospital Nursing Home. Born in Hilo, she was a retired seamstress for Hilo Hattie and the former Kamehameha Garments and member of Honomu Henjoji Mission and Waiakea Uka Kumiai. Private services held. Survived by son, Brian (Diane Tokunaga-Ide) Ide of Honolulu; brother, Dr. Richard (Hanae) Nishioka of Albany, Calif.; a granddaughter; nieces and nephews. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.

Brian Ramon Thomas

Brian Ramon Thomas, 81, of Waimea died June 2 at Queen’s North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born in Indianapolis, he was a realtor and board member, actor, and chorus member with Waimea Community Theater. Private services at a later date. Survived by wife, Angela Thomas of Waimea; children, Brian (Leticia) Thomas Jr. of Signal Hill, Calif., Darlene (Roger) Ledin of Vancouver, Wash., and Lindsey (Matthew) Kalkbernner of San Jose, Calif.; brother, Dr. Ronald Thomas of Santa Fe, N.M.; six grandchildren; three nieces and a nephew. Alan Ray Parker

Alan Ray Parker, 75, of Hilo died May 29 at home. Born in Hilo, he was a retired executive director of the county Office of Aging and received the Excellence in Action Award in 2010 from the U.S. Administration on Aging, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and the Veterans Administration. He also was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hawaii County Radio Control Club, board member of Hawaii Island Adult Care, instructor for the Waiakea High School rifle team and musician in the group Pure &Simple. Visitation 4-6 p.m. Thursday, June 27 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Wake service at 6 p.m. Visitation again 8-9:30 a.m. Friday, June 28, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Funeral mass at 9:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Homelani Memorial Park in Hilo. Casual attire.
