Antonio V. Patao Jr.

Antonio V. Patao Jr., 87, of Hilo died June 15 at home. Born in Keaau, he was a retired machinist for a mainland company who also worked for the former Hilo Coast Processing Co., member of the Puna Covenant Church in Keaau, Hawaii, retired U.S. Air Force technical sergeant and U.S. Navy veteran. Visitation 5-6 p.m. today at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Wake service at 6 p.m. Cremation to follow at Homelani Crematory. Memorial service 10 a.m. Thursday, June 27, at Puna Covenant Church in Keaau. Urn committal service with military honors to follow at noon East Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Survived by wife, Guadalupe “Mary” Patao of Hilo; daughters, Janet Manry of Utah, Barbara Crockett of California and Susan Powers of Arizona; son, Roy Patao of Arizona; brother, Ben (Arlene) Patao of California; sister, Leonida Kong of California; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; cousins, nieces and nephews. Roscoe “Rocky” Albert Shorey IV

Roscoe “Rocky” Albert Shorey IV, 42, of Washougal, Wash., died March 30 on Mount St. Helens in Washington. Born in Kona, he was a certified personal trainer, skydiving instructor, motorcyclist and mountaineer, and business graduate from Washington State University, who volunteered and mentored youth for Big Brothers/Big Sisters and numerous outdoors organizations. Visitation 9-10 a.m. Friday (June 21) at Kona Outdoor Circuit, 76-6280 Kuakini Highway. Celebration of life 10-11 a.m. Luncheon 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Interment 1 p.m. at Kona Memorial Park 75-5553 Mamalahoa Hwy. in Holualoa. No flowers. Annie Kaiaikuhia Kaaukai

Annie Kaiaikuhia Kaaukai, 79, of Hilo died May 17 at Legacy Hilo Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Born in Malama, Puna, she was a retired van driver for the county Office of Aging, member of Opihikao Congregational Church, Kalapana Mauna Kea Congregational Church, New Hope Puna. Kalapana Community Organization, board member of Puna Canoe Club and volunteer for Hawaii Food Basket. Visitation 4-6 p.m. Friday (June 21) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Reilly K. Narruhn, of Hilo, died May 16. Born in Chuuk, Micronesia, he was a Walmart associate and theology graduate of Pacific Island Bible College.
