Chenoa Cainglit

Softball – Freshman – Kapolei – Kapolei High School

The collegiate adjustment period is over for Chenoa Cainglit.

The freshman was batting .106 on just three hits heading into the final weekend of action at the Pacific West Conference Championships but emerged with one of the Vulcans’ many hot-hitting clutch bats.

In an elimination game against Biola, Cainglit blasted a full-count RBI triple high off the right-center field fence to give the Vulcans the lead in the top of the eighth.

The catcher scored later in the frame to give Hawai’i Hilo a two-run cushion as it eventually prevailed for an 8-5 victory in 11 innings.

In the ensuing contest, Cainglit knocked a solo homer off the right-center-field scoreboard in the fifth inning to give the Vulcans their first run of the game against Azusa Pacific.

Dylan Bercan

Men’s Golf – Junior (redshirt) – Vancouver, British Columbia – Vancouver College

Dylan Bercan followed up his outing at the PacWest Conference Championships with a top-10 finish among the 108-field of golfers at the NCAA South Central/West Regional.

After a five-over Round 1 score, the Canada native shot up 50 spots on the individual leaderboard before settling at a tie for No. 10 after rounds of 68 and 67 for a two-under final finish.

Bercan sank 13 total birdies as the back-to-back PacWest Conference Champions placed 16th.
