A Thursday article incorrectly stated a deadline by which the state Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs must rule on an application by Hawaiian Telcom for a new cable franchise on the Big Island. The DCCA actually has 120 days from Feb. 2 to make a decision. The Tribune-Herald apologizes for the error.
