Visitacion Presiados Estorpe, 80, of Kailua-Kona died Feb. 3 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Bohol, Philippines, she was a a retired employee of the King Kamehameha Hotel in Kona, substitute teacher in the Philippines and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Visitation 8-9 a.m. today (Feb. 15) at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mass at 9:30 a.m. Final services and burial will take place in the Philippines. Casual attire. Survived by sons, Roel Estorpe of the Philippines, Ronald (Doreen) Estorpe of San Diego, Richard (Donna) Estorpe of Kailua-Kona, Rico (Kate) Estorpe of Hilo and Roy (Mika) Estorpe of Kailua, Oahu; daughter, Ruvi (Edison) Minoza of Kailua-Kona; seven brothers and five sisters; nine grandchildren and a great granddaughter; cousins, nieces and nephews. Theodore Ralph Ferguson, 82, of Honokaa died July 10, 2023, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Wailuku, Maui, he was a brittle maker, transportation specialist, landscaper and U.S. Army veteran. Bertha Peleuli (Bertelmann) Dement, 94, of Waimea died Jan. 11 at home. Born in Waiohinu, Ka‘u, she was a retired lei maker for Mauna Lani Bay Hote, enjoyed lei making, quilting, lauhala and coconut weaving, and was a member of the Waimea 2nd Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and Waimea Ka‘ahumanu Society, Chapter 2. Visitation 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday (Feb. 17) at the Waimea Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 65-1160 Kapiolani Road, Waimea. He was also the inspiration for and a client of Full Life, a charitable organization founded by his family that empowers disabled Hawaii Island residents with person-centered support services.
