Police and fire personnel were dispatched at 2:13 a.m. to a structure fire at a residence on the 92-1600 block of Aloha Boulevard. Upon arrival, responding personnel found the entire structure engulfed in flames, and determined that an elderly man who resided there was unaccounted for. After firefighters extinguished the flames, the body was discovered in the structure’s remnants.
Police and fire inspectors responded to the scene and are investigating the cause of the fire.
The identity of the victim hasn’t been released. An autopsy has been ordered to determine the exact cause of death.
The structure and contents, which had an estimated value of $150,000, were a total loss.
