Kanu o ka ‘Aina NCPCS awarded $290,386 from OHA
WAIMEA, – The Kanu o ka ‘Aina New Century Public Charter School announced a grant award totaling $290,386 that will support the Native Hawaiian community through the Office of Hawaiian Affairs (OHA) Hawaiian-Focused Public Charter School Grants. The grant promotes OHA’s work in supporting education by adequately resourcing Hawaiian Focused Charter Schools and Hawaiian medium schools. Kanu o ka ‘Aina New Century Public Charter School will administer funds to engage students and families in improving educational outcomes.
Kona Community Hospital Auxiliary to hold monthly board meeting December 18
The Kona Community Hospital Auxiliary will hold its monthly board meeting on Monday, December 18th, 12:30 in the hospital conference room. Plans are being finalized for the annual meeting and luncheon, to be held on January 27th, at the hospital. All members and any person interested in becoming a volunteer are invited to attend.
