Born in Laupahoehoe, she was a retired senior cashier of KTA Super Stores in Waimea and member of St. Columbus Episcopal Church in Paauilo. W. Joyce Johnson
W. Joyce Johnson, age 89, of Kailua-Kona, died on Nov. 17. Born in Lamar, Colo., she was a home economics teacher, avid traveler, volunteer at many non-profits including Habitat For Humanity, Salvation Army and the Nature Conservancy, and also enjoyed sewing, especially quilts. A private spreading of ashes and celebration of life has been held.
