Sheila Yoshizumi, 90, of Hilo died Oct. 30 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, she was a receptionist for Dr. Paul Caldwell, homemaker, babysitter, 1953 St. Joseph High School graduate, supporter of St. Joseph Cardinals athletics and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, U.E. Club of Hilo and Grandmothers Club of Hilo. Visitation 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Memorial service at 6 p.m. Graveside urn committal service 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, at East Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2 Pavilion. Casual attire. Survived by sons, Richard (Donna) Yoshizumi Jr. of Waikoloa and Wade Yoshizumi of Hilo; daughters, Debbie Yoshizumi of Keaau and Alison Yoshizumi of Hilo; son-in-law, Bryant Spencer of Hilo; sisters-in-law, Jenny Yoshizumi and Elaine Yoshizumi of Hilo; hanai sister, Charlene Carvalho of Hilo; eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild; an aunt; nieces and nephews. Charlene Ilima Thomas Chiquita, 82, of Mountain View died Nov. 13 at Hilo Medical Center. She was a retired homemaker and deaconess of the Hilo Seventh-day Adventist Church. Lucille J. Hookano, 78, of Hilo, died on Nov. 9. Born in Hawaii, she was a retired senior center receptionist. A Celebration of Life to be held from 10 a.m- 1 p.m.on Friday, Dec. 1 at Lihikai Hawaiian Cultural Center, 74 Onekahakaha Rd, Hilo.
