Waikoloa boys places third at state golf tourney
Elatan Ree, an 11 year old from Waikoloa, placed third in the Boys 11-12 division of the Hawaii State Junior Golf Association’s (HSJGA) 2023 King Auto Group 12 & U State Championship on Tuesday at the Honolulu Country Club. The 36-hole stroke play tournament took place over two days, and the Boys 11-12 division played a par 72, 6,040 yard course. Ree shot 81 on day one and 91 on day two to gross 172 (+19). Mason Miyashiro of Mililani placed first, carding 80 on the first day and 82 on the second.
