He was a cook at Holuakoa Gardens and Cafe, Lava Lava, Tommy Bahama, Sam Choy’s, Jackie Reyes and Papa Kona. Michiko Uyeda, 90, of Papaikou, passed away on February 26, 2023 at home. She was born February 2, 1933 in Japan and was a retired laborer for the Hamakua Sugar Plantation.
