Daniel Holliday
Daniel Ray Holliday, 75, of Pahoa died Jan. 20 at the Hilo Medical Center. Born in Jacksonville, North Carolina he was a disabled veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Inurnment with military honors will take place at 12 noon Friday (March 3, 2023) at the East Hawaii Veterans Cemetery #2 Pavilion. He had no known survivors other than his hanai sister, Anna Mae Maina’aupo of Pahoa. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.

Myron Mahuna
Myron “Cowboy” Onimau Mahuna, 66, of Paauilo, died Feb. 7, 2023 at North Hawaii Community Hospital. He was born on May 22, 1956 in Hilo, Hawaii. He was a retired road maintenance supervisor for the County of Hawaii Public Works Division and a rancher. Visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. on Friday (Mar. 3, 2023) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel, Hilo; Funeral Service at 10 a.m.; cremation to follow. Survived by, wife, Camille Mahuna of Paauilo; sister, Charlette (Mark Norfleet) Mahuna-Norfleet of Houston, Texas; children, grandchildren, nieces, cousins, dogs, horses and cows. Ralph Fike
Ralph “Fuzzy” Howard Fike, 80, of Hilo died on Feb. 8 at the Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he was a retired overseer for the Department of Public Works of the County of Hawaii and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Private services held. Survived by daughters, Gwenda Burgado of Santa Rosa, California, Karrie King of Hilo; brother, David (Faye) Fike of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; brother-in-law, Larry Krantz of Connecticut; two grandchildren. Treva Chapple
Treva Louise Chapple, 88, of Holualoa, Hawaii died February 18, 2023 at Hospice of Kona’s Nakamaru Hale. Born in Los Angeles, California on March 5, 1934, she was a jewelry store sales associate. She is survived by her sister, Susie Madisen of Kennewick, WA. and caregiver, Jan Kuivenhoven of Holualoa. Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.

Alice Kawamoto
Alice Tokie Kawamoto, 81, of Captain Cook, Hawaii died on January 5, 2023 at the Kona Community Hospital. Born in Honaunau, Hawaii on May 25, 1941, she retired as housekeeper and laundry supervisor at the Kona Community Hospital. She was a member of the Ka Ulu Lauhala O Kona, Keei Mauka Kumi, and Kona Hongwanji Buddhist Temple. Visitation will be held at 9 a.m. March 18, 2023 at Kona Hongwanji Buddhist Temple in Kealakekua, Hawaii. Memorial service will begin at 10 a.m. She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Kitaoka, Paula (Shane Domingo) Kawamoto and Karen “Kaui” Kawamoto; brother, Wallace Matsuda, grandsons, Jarett and Tyler Kitaoka; aunties, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
