KKCC annual luncheon, business expo coming up
Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce hosts its 2023 Luncheon with Mayor Roth and Hawaii County Leadership with Business Expo March 3 at The Westin Hapuna Beach Resort in South Kohala.
This year the Luncheon Program will consist of three panel discussions on the Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce Priorities: Housing, Water Development and Astronomy. Panelists will include Mayor Mitch Roth and members of his team along with selected subject matter experts.
Admission is $82 for the general public and $68 for Chamber members. Registration is required a https://www.kona-kohala.com. The deadline to register is Thursday, Feb. 23.
Luncheon check-in starts at 10 a.m., doors open to ballroom at 11 a.m. for the 11:30 a.m. luncheon. The Business Expo will run 10 – 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 – 2 p.m.

FOLK book sale slated Feb. 25
The Friends of the Libraries, Kona (FOLK) will hold a book sale inside the Kailua-Kona Public Library lobby from 9 a.m. to noon Feb. 25.
The sale includes hundreds of titles to look through including children’s, paperback trades, fiction, non-fiction, Hawaiiana, special books andvintage comic books. Each purchase directly benefits the Kealakekua and Kailua-Kona public libraries.
