Wanette Puanani Twiggs, 67 of Mountain View, died Nov. 13, 2022. Born March 27, 1955, she was an administrative activity director for Kokua Kalihi Valley, and a mentor to children. Metheus Pascual Sr., 98, of Keaau, died Dec. 25, 2022 at his residence in Keaau. Born Sept. 21, 1924, in Waipahu, he retired from the Puna Sugar Co. as a crane operator, and was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses Iloko Congregation. Rodjana “Betty” Shigeko Bisel, 85, of Kurtistown, died Dec. 18, 2022 at the Hilo Medical Center. Born in San Pedro, California on Sept. 9, 1937, she was co-owner/administrative assistant for Sunshine Farms, member/treasurer of the Secular Franciscan Order of Hawaii and was a secretary for the Los Angeles Fire Department. Visitation will be held at Dodo Mortuary Chapel in Hilo on Jan. 17 from 5 to 6p.m.; wake service will begin at 6 p.m. A rosary will take place at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Keaau and begin at 8:30 a.m. on Jan. 18 with visitation to continue from 9 to 10 a.m.; funeral Mass will begin at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at the East Hawaii Veterans Cemetery #2 in Hilo at noon.
