Hiroshi Morioka

Hiroshi Morioka, 86, of Hilo died on July 1, 2022 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Kaueleau, he was a retired Major with the U.S. Air Force and worked for the state Department of Social Services. Services held. He is survived by wife, Carol Morioka of Hilo; son, Jason Morioka of Honolulu; daughter, Laurie (Kevin) Suzawa of Kaneohe; grandsons, Kyle Suzawa of Kaneohe, Logan Suzawa of Kaneohe; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Randall Malakaua

Randall “Pudgie” Malakaua, 64, of Keaau, died Dec. 11, 2022, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was a retired heavy equipment operator for Yamada &Sons and WM Loeffler Construction. Celebration of life at a later date. He is survived by companion, Debbie Yoshizumi; sons, Randall (Miho) Malakaua, Rylan Malakaua; sisters, Carolyn (Norbert) Pfahler, Trudy (Robert) Yamada, Jamie Malakaua-DeSilva; mother-in-law, Sheila Yoshizumi; sisters-in-law, Lisa Marie Malakaua, Jurene Malakaua, Alison Yoshizumi; brothers-in-law, Richard (Donna) Yoshizumi Jr., Wade Yoshizumi, Bryant Spencer; granddaughter, Aina Malakaua; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Warren Sumner

Warren Kirby Sumner, 83, of Kailua-Kona, died Dec. 28, 2022 at his residence. Born in Missoula, Montana on Aug. 28, 1939, he was a special agent with the Naval Investigative Service (NIS) and retired as director of career services, member of Disabled American Veterans and a U.S. Navy veteran. Private services will be held at a later date. He is survived by wife, Sharon Sumner/ son, Steven Sumner, both of Kailua-Kona; daughter, Sandra (Andrew) Sarantakis of Genoa City, WI.; one granddaughter. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary
