Jeneal Lactaoen

Jeneal Kanani Kalauokaaea Lactaoen, 43, of Waimea, died on Dec. 3, 2022, at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born in Honolulu, on Nov. 23, 1979, she was a storeroom manager at the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel. A celebration of life will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Jan. 15, 2023, at Spencer Beach Park in Kawaihae. She is survived by companion, Alicia Manuel of Waimea; brothers, Robert (Mary) Keliikoa of Washington, Leslie (Renee) Lactaoen of Kukuihaele, Jay (Kawehi) Lactaoen of Waimea, Guy (Diane) Keliikoa of Honolulu, Lee Keliikoa of Waikoloa, Joseph Lactaoen of Alaska and Jacob (Francine) Lactaoen of Kawaihae; sisters, Maria Lactaoen of Arizona and Robin (Robert) Lopez of New Mexico; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Rene Asuncion

Rene Asuncion, 78 of Hilo, died Dec. 15, 2022 in Pahoa. He was born in the Philippines. Private services will be held at Mililani Memorial Park at a later date. He is survived by daughters, Shirl (Tracey) Veincent and Maelissa (Rodney) Kawaiaea of Hilo; son, Glenn (Misty) Asuncion of Kahului, Maui; sisters, Linda Palalay of Waialua, Maui, Rosita Garcia of Pearl City, Oahu; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Kimberly Gustafson

Kimberly Lorraine Gustafson, 58, of Hilo died Dec 19, 2022 in Hilo. A memorial service will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 30 in the visitation chapel at Homelani Memorial Park. She is survived by husband, Leroy Puu; children, Jennifer Kanahele, Kalani Pu’u-Gustafson, Kyle Pu’u-Gustafson, and JaVonne Pu’u; three grandchildren; and countless nieces and nephews.
