Dr. Tim’s Medicine Band will be returning to the Going Nuts for the Holidays Festival this Saturday on the main stage at Hale Halawai playing vintage music from 2 to 4 p.m.
Dr. Tim and the Medicine Band, have been performing in Hawaii for over 30 years. The band, for many years, has been the standard headliners of the Avocado Festival, the Mango Festival, the Going Nuts for the Holidays Festival, and the Kona-Stock Woodstock Festival. He is also a regular playing at the Art After Dark Holualoa First Friday celebration and Christmas events, and at the Kokua Kailua Stroll.
In recent months Dr. Tim and the band were chosen to perform at the Waimea Town Market. He also performed with piano sensation Leslie Harlib at the Blue Dragon, and has played at a number of restaurants, parties, and special events in West Hawaii.
Dr. Tim’s Medicine Band, includes talented Big Island musicians like Solomon Choo, playing lead guitar and harmonica, and Dr. Tim’s long-time music partner, Mike Rosato, on vocals and guitar. We are proud to have Stephen Kidda on drums, who has toured internationally for decades, and played with top music legends, including Canned Heat. The phenomenal Ian Delgado, has been playing saxophone for years with Dr. Tim, and on his own, contributed for years to the local music scene. We are pleased to have him back on the main stage.
The band is rounded out with the guitar and bass player, Marty Kossoff, a talented song writer and recording artist on his own right, and leader of the band Stone Fish.
Dr. Tim, performing vocals and guitar, is a local holistic physician with a passion for helping people with natural medicine, and lifelong passion for music.
