The Lualai Halloween Spook-tacular returned Monday after a two-year break amid the COVID pandemic.
The event was created by the Laulai community and police in 2018 to provide a safe, walkable environment for kids partaking in Halloween festivities in Waimea, according to event organizers. Since its inception, crowds of costumed kids with family in tow have come to the neighborhood to trick-or-treat at the homes decked out for Halloween.
