Patricia Eames
Patricia Jane Eames, 73, of Honaunau, died Aug. 30, 2022, at her residence. Born Dec. 29, 1948, in Hibbing, Minnesota, she was a retired registered nurse, coffee farmer and an active member and coach at Keoua Canoe Club.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Oct. 15 at Keoua Canoe Club lot in Honaunau.
She is survived by husband, Steve Eames of Honaunau; daughters, Seraphina (Jeremy) Hunter of Mesa, Colorado, and Jessica (Sean) Kaawa of Ki’ilae; brothers, Michael (Cindy) Prevetz of Concord, California, and John Prevetz of Kealia; brother-in-law, Gary (Joanne) Eames of Concord, California; sisters, Mary Prevetz of Kealia, Peggy (Gus) Cooke of Columbus, Ohio, and Terry (Phil) Cardin of Escondido, California; three grandchildren; and five nieces and nephews.

Niles Nakamura
Niles “Kim” Yoshimi Nakamura, 72, of Hilo died Sept. 8, 2022, at his residence. Born in Hakalau, he was a retired mechanic supervisor for the County of Hawaii Motor Pool Department, member of the Keonimana Motorcycle Club and Sportsman Golf Club.
Visitation from 3 to 5 p.m. Sept. 30 at Dodo Mortuary chapel; prayer service at 5. Casual attire.
He is survived by wife, Malina Nakamura of Hilo; daughter, Angela Nakamura of Hilo; siblings, Noreen (Haru) Kaneshiro of Pepeekeo, Norman (Vera) Nakamura of Hilo, Jan Kim of Hilo; sister-in-law, Maryann (John) Andrade of Honokaa; father-in-law, John Kim of Hilo; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Puanani Mukai
Puanani Mukai, 75, of Pahoa died Aug. 19, 2022, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Pahoa, she was a retired security officer at Pahoa High and Elementary Schools.

Dorothy Antonia Devara, 80, of Honolulu, died Sept. 10, 2022, at the Avalon Care Center on Oahu. Born in Hilo, she was a retired beverage server.
Visitation 8-10 a.m. Sept. 29 at the Malia Puka O Kalani Catholic Church in Keaukaha. Memorial Mass at 10 a.m. Casual attire; no flowers.

Elizabeth M. Martinez, 47, of Keaau, died Sept. 9, 2022 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Chiapas, Mexico, she worked at Mauna Loa School, Keaau High School, and was a member of the Hilo Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
A visitation will be held at the Hilo Seventh-Day Adventist Church on Oct. 2 at 3 p.m. with a service to follow at 4 p.m. Casual attire.
She is survived by husband, Fernando Martinez of Keaau; daughter, Sara Martinez of Keaau; sons, Enrique Martinez and Fernando Martinez of Keaau; parents-in-law, Enrique and Sara Martinez of Hilo; sister-in-law Crystal Yvette (Gabriel) Soto of California; mother, Vitalina Aguilar of Mexico; brothers and sisters in Mexico; and numerous nieces and nephews.
