BIIF Volleyball: Hawaii Prep, Kamehameha remain unbeaten

The Hawaii Prep and Kamehameha volleyball teams each earned victories Tuesday night to remain unbeaten atop the BIIF leaderboard.

Ka Makani remain the lone undefeated team in BIIF’s Division II, notching their third win of the season with a 25-18, 25-15, 25-16 sweep over the Daggers of Pahoa.

Kamehameha, meanwhile, recorded their sixth victory of the year to set the standard in BIIF’s Division I, making quick work of Makua Lani in a 25-2, 25-4, 25-8 sweep.

Kau notched their second victory of the year with a 25-10, 25-21, 25-17 win over the Canefire of Christian Liberty Academy.

The Warriors cracked the top 10 in the Honolulu Star-Advertiser’s latest volleyball poll as they’re set to welcome a host of schools for the Kamehameha-Hawaii tournament starting on Thursday.

Top-ranked Kamehameha-Kapalama and No. 4 Moanalua – along with Hawaii Baptist, Damien, Kapolei, Radford and Kamehameha-Maui will travel over from Oahu and Maui, while BIIF schools will include Kealakehe, Hilo, Waiakea and Keaau. Schools joining from the mainland include Central Catholic, Andrew Hill, Clovis and Westview.
