Eric “Chizo” James Fontes Jr., 40, of Hilo, died May 25, 2022, at the Queen’s Medical Center on Oahu. Born in Hilo, he was an auto body mechanic.

He is survived by wife, Brandy Fontes of Hilo; son, Caleb Fontes of Hilo; daughter, Dazzah-Romance Fontes of Hilo; parents, Eric Sr. and Sharon Fontes of Hilo; sisters, Kia (BJ) Abraham of Keaau and Erilynn (Chris) Castaneda of Hilo; mother-in-law, Francine Latu of California; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Barbara Ann Coito, 74, of Raymond, Washington and formerly of Honokaa, died July 6, 2022. She was born April 23, 1948 in Haina, Honokaa.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 26 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Honokaa; Mass at 5 p.m.
She is survived by daughters, Dardenella (Darren) Gamayo of Honokaa and Anna (James) Anderson of Raymond, Washington; son, Patrick Coito Jr. of Honokaa; brother, Frank (Beverly) Figueroa of Hilo; sisters, Rose Dos Santos of Raymond, Washington, Stella (Alfred) Cervantes of Phoenix, Arizona, Sara (Roger) Williams of Hilo and Rosalie Figueroa of Kona; sister-in-law, Cindy (Wayne) Tobin of Navato, California; brothers-in-law, Moses (Mona) Coito of San Diego, Alan (Francis) Coito of Sacramento, Frank Coito, III of Kohala, William (Terry) McNulty of Beaverton, Oregon, Steve (Joelyn) Coito of Kohala and Timothy (Ann) Coito of Kohala; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and numerous uncles, aunties, nieces and nephews.

Kelly Edward Nason, 66, of Moutain View, died April 28, 2022 at his residence. Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, he was the proprietor of Big Island Mobile and the retired President of Brotherhood Motorcycle Club in CA.
