Petra Lucia Nabeyan, 68, of Hilo, died Aug. 6, 2022 at Hilo Medical Center. Born Jan. 18, 1954, in Micronesia, she was a homemaker and a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Warren Ching
Warren Nuk Fah Ching, 91, of Hawi, died Sept. 12, 2021. Born Aug. 22, 1930, he was a U.S. Air Force veteran who retired as a senior master sergeant.
Memorial services will be held on Aug. 20 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Kohala Ward, 55-524 Hawi Rd. Hawi, HI 96719. Visitation from 9 to 11 a.m., service begins at 11 with light refreshments to follow.
He is survived by wife, Lillian Ching of Hawi; son, Darrell (Stephanie) Ching of Mililani, Oahu; daughter, Warrene Ching of Honolulu; and numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

Mary Routery
Mary Walsh Routery, 107, of Kailua-Kona, died July 26, 2022 at Hospice of Kona’s Nakamaru Hale. Born March 3, 1915 in Carmi, Illinois, she was a manager for North American Aviation, a disability activist who served on the Hawaii County mayor’s committee, member of the Kona Outdoor Circle and boardmember of Kona Krafts (ARC of Kona).

She is survived by son, Michael Routery and son-in-law, Arturo Sayco, both of Waimea; two nieces; and four nephews.

Edwin Nobriga Sr.
Edwin William Nobriga Sr. , 89, of Kawanui, died July 26, 2022, at his residence. Born in Honolulu, he was U.S. Navy Korean War veteran, FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia, graduate, retired district commander for the Hawaii County Police Department and a rancher.

Lisiate “Richard” Kaufusi Apina, 64, of Kailua-Kona, died July 25, 2022 at his residence. Born Jan. 19, 1958, in Nukunuku, Tongatapu, Tonga, he was an electrician for Lindo Electric and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Visitation will be held at 8:30 a.m. Sept. 3 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Kealakekua/Keei Ward; funeral service at 10 a.m. followed by burial at Kona Memorial Park in Holualoa. Family requests casual attire.

Wally Kazuto Ichishita, 107, of Kailua-Kona, died June 18, 2022 at his residence. Born Jan. 26, 1915 in Keopu, he was the retired owner of Kona Laundry and Dry Cleaning and a member of the Kona Rotary Club, Kona Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, Sei Cho No Ie and the Keopu Citizens Club.
