Debra Ravey
Debra Ka’ainoa Ravey, 66, of Keaau, died June 17, 2022, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Honolulu, she was the chief executive officer of ACCESS Capabilities, Inc. and a member of numerous community organizations.
Visitation will be held from noon to 1 p.m. July 22 at Dodo Mortuary chapel; service at 1. Casual attire.
She is survived by sons, Keola (Angela) Ravey of Hilo and Ka’ainoa Ravey of New Mexico; daughters, Tommie (Blake Ragocos) Lehua Ravey and Namaiya Miura of Pepeekeo, Debra Ann (Kahea) Ravey of Keaau; brother, Stanford Ogata of Pepeekeo; sister, Sherryann Kamakea of Keaau; hanai sister, Denise A.K. Leopoldo of Oahu; 12 grandchildren; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Clifford Matsumura
Clifford “Popsi” “Papa” or “Grandpa” Yoshiharu Matsumura, 82, of Paauilo died May 31, 2022, at Hale Ho’ola Hamakua. Born in Honokaa, he was a journeyman carpenter with the Carpenters Union, Local 745, worked for Chester Matsumura Carpentry, Hawaiian Dredging, Constructors of Hawaii, Dick Pacific and Isemoto Contracting, and was a member of the Paauilo Hongwanji Mission and the Paauilo Nutrition Club.
Visitation 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. July 23 at Paauilo Hongwanji Mission; service at 10:30. Casual attire; no flowers.
He is survived by wife, Jane Reyla Matsumura of Paauilo; sons, Desmond (Robin) Matsumura and Cid (Melissa) Matsumura of Paauilo, and Neil (Lovy) Matsumura of Waimea; daughters, Darlene (Glenn) Matsushita of Paauilo, Dawn (Alan) Bondaug of Hilo and Dodie (Byron) Thomas of Honokaa; sister, Faye (David) Wung of Hilo; sister-in-law, Debbie Matsumura of Oahu; hanai son, Mark Honma of Paauilo; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Rochelle “Shelly” Leinaala Antonio, 53, of Hilo, and formerly of Kapaau, died June 7, 2022, at her residence. Born in Kapaau, she was a rental car return agent with Budget Rent A Car and a member of the Hawi Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Visitation 9 to 9:45 a.m. July 23 at Hawi Sacred Heart Catholic Church; Mass at 10/. Burial will follow at the Hawi County Cemetery. Casual attire.

Keonimana “Mana” Lamar Trimble, 40, of Hilo, died July 2, 2022, at his residence. He was born in Honolulu.

Itoe Helliangao
Itoe Helliangao, 86, of Hilo, died April 16, 2022, at her residence. Born Dec. 27, 1935, in Hilo, she was a retired supervisor for Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Corp. and member Saint Joseph Catholic Church and Waiakea Uka Kumiai Camp 6.
Friends may call at 8:30 a.m. July 29 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo; Mass at 9:30 Mass. Graveside urn committal service follows at noon at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2 pavilion.
She is survived by son, Alberto Helliangao Jr. of Kona; caregiver/granddaughter, Cheliette (Reggie) Conarton of Pahoa; sister, Fujie Oda of Hilo; brother, Richard Maeda of Hilo; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

David De Mattos
David William De Mattos, 62, of Laupahoehoe, died July 4, 2022 at Hilo Medical Center. Born Jan. 8, 1960 in Pu’umaile, he worked as a mechanic/truck driver for Island Princess Macadamia Nut Co., and was a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church in Laupahoehoe.
Friends may call from 9 to 10:30 a.m. July 27 at Dodo Mortuary chapel; service at 10:30. Burial at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Laupahoehoe.

Hiroko Segawa, 80, of Hilo, died July 9, 2022 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Facility in Hilo. Born March 17, 1942, in Muroran, Hokkaido, Japan, she was a housewife and member of the Higashi Hongwanji Buddhist Temple.

She is survived by husband, Douglas Segawa of Hilo; sons, Chris (Luanne) Segawa of Waikele, Kyle (Tammy) Segawa of Kailua-Kona and Dary Segawa of Hilo; brothers, Noboru Hayashi and Yoichi Hayashi, both of Japan; sisters, Yoshiko (Kurt) Van Voorhies of Michigan, Kinue Robbie of California and Yumiko Oi of Japan; four grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

Kristin Kaena Elizabeth Abarca, 40, of Aspers, Pennsylvania, died June 15, 2022 at her family’s residence. Born Feb. 28, 1982, in Kapaau, she was a medical decoder and biller for Bridgeport Healthcare and member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kohala Ward.
Visitation will be held at 9 a.m. July 23 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kohala Ward; service will begin at 11. Burial to follow at Hawi County Cemetery. Causal attire.

Robert “Bob” E. Nelson, 83, of Kailua-Kona, died July 8, 2022, at Hospice of Kona’s Nakamaru Hale. Born Aug. 17, 1938 in San Diego, he was a tax attorney for the U.S. Treasury Department and a U.S. Air Force veteran.
