The first Peaman event since March 2020 was held Saturday in Kailua-Kona.

The free Sizzling Summer Sprint Biathlon, the 410th event since Sean “Peaman” Pagett began organizing the fun in 1987, featured a swim in Kailua Bay and run on Alii Drive in Kailua-Kona. The long course consisted of a 1/3-mile swim followed by a 2-mile run, while the Peawee course was a 200-yard swim followed by a 1-mile run.
