The King Kamehameha Day Parade and Celebration returned to Kailua-Kona Saturday after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic.
Adorned in the flowers and colors of the Hawaiian Islands, regal pa‘u riders on horseback represented each of the eight islands, led by their respective princesses and the pa‘u queen.
The floral parade also featured hula halau, equestrian units, marching bands, a horse-drawn carriage and more.
After the parade, a ho‘olaule‘a was held at Hulihe‘e Palace.
