Go inside the mind of a criminal and learn to recognize the tactics financial criminals use to steal from kupuna as AARP Hawaii kicks off a month of Fraud Watch Friday webinars and events in May.
The Fraud Watch Friday events will help kupuna and those who care for them learn how to fight back against fraud. The series kicks off at 2 p.m. Friday, May 6, with Honolulu Deputy Prosecutor Scott Spallina, who will share real-life examples of financial crimes against kupuna and explain how fraudsters build trust with their victims. Other webinars will look at the top frauds reported in Hawaii and how to protect your personal information online.
AARP Hawaii is also offering a showing of the movie “Identity Thief” with Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy.
