Patrick “Peej” Paul Pedro Jr., 39, of Waimea, died March 27, 2022, at his residence. Born in Kealakekua, he was a farmer and rancher and member of the Waimea 2nd Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Friends may call at 9 a.m. April 9 at the Kealamakia residence, Mana Road, in Waimea for an 11 a.m. service. Burial will follow at the Waimea LDS Cemetery. Casual attire.

Gary Burris
Gary Wayne Burris, 69, of Kailua-Kona, died March 19, 2022, at Kona Community Hospital. Born Nov. 6, 1952 in Santa Maria, California, he was a retired cash handler for California Bay Area Rapid Transit, a musician, bass player and member of Bandanna &Coffee, and the Larry Norman rock band known as “People.”
Private service held.
He is survived by wife, Nani Naipo-Burris of Kailua-Kona; hanai son, Kaui (Charlie) Steffens of California; hanai daughter, Aja (David) Olson of Honolulu; brother, Greg (Brigid) Burris of California; four hanai grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Agapita Javier Marzan, 88, of Hilo died March 28, 2022, at her residence. Born in Pangasinan, Philippines, she was a homemaker and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo.

William “Bill” Marion Atkins, 85, of Pahoa, passed away at home on March 26, 2022. Prior to retirement, he was a Civil Engineer with the Hilo, Dept. Of Water Supply.
Bill is survived by his wife, Rose Padilla Atkins; stepsons, Michael J Lara, Benjamin Lara Jr.; stepdaughters, JoAnn Lubas, Cheryl Lynn Dureg and sister, Sue (Dick) Hyatt.

Kathleen Mildred Kalauli, 70, of Pahoa, died March 17, 2022. She retired as a nurse from the Hilo Medical Center and was a member of numerous bowling leagues.

Iwaloa Florence Loebl Chilson, 48, of Hilo died Feb. 21, 2022, in California.
