Police: Captain Cook gas station robbed at gunpoint

Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect responsible for a Wednesday morning armed robbery at a Captain Cook gas station.

Officers responded at 12:39 a.m. to the Mamalahoa Highway business after an employee reported being robbed at gunpoint. The suspect demanded cash, removed the cash drawer, then fled on foot, according to the Hawaii Police Department.

The suspect is described as between 5-feet, 8-inches and 5-feet, 10-inches tall, slender, wearing long pants and a dark-colored hoodie. His head and face were concealed.
