Bonnie Marie Palos, 49, of Waikoloa, died Jan. 29, 2022, at Kona Community Hospital. Born May 18, 1972, in Hilo, she was a food preparer at the Waikoloa Deli.

She is survived by husband, John Palos of Waikoloa; son, Preston Palos of Waikoloa; daughter, Chesney Palos of Waikoloa; brothers, Harry (Gerogeann) Jose of Ahuloa, Kelly (Kekoho) Jose of Laupahoehoe, Leroy (Michelle Bugado) Jose of Ookala and Paul Jose of Hawaii; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Gerald Kim Sr.
Gerald Pomaikai Kim Sr., 52, of Kainaliu, died Feb. 24, 2022, at Kona Community Hospital, Born Oct. 28, 1969 in Honolulu, he was the owner of Kainaliu Gas and member of Big Island VW Club Kona.

He is survived by wife, Rory Kim of Kainaliu; children, Gerald Kim Jr. of Captain Cook, Amanda (Jaime Segucio) Kim of Napoopoo, and Dakota Kim, Chase Kim and Blaze Kim all of Kailua Kona; parents, Roland and Sharon Kim Sr. of Kealakekua; siblings, Roland Kim Jr. of California, and Kristine (Joseph) Freitas of Waimea; and numerous friends, nieces and nephews.

Sharon Lynn Daluson, 78, of Hilo, died Feb. 12, 2022, at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Facility. Born May 13, 1943, in California, she worked as a property manager.

Misa Kaneshiro
Misa Jade Kaneshiro, 98, of Hilo, died Feb. 1, 2022 at a private care home in Keaau. Born June 22, 1923, in Turlock, California, she was a homemaker, gardener and member of several senior bowling teams and an accomplished Hawaiian quilt and feather lei craftsperson.
Private services held. No flowers. No koden (monetary offerings).
She is survived by children, Karleen Tindall of San Francisco, Sheila Yamamoto of Honolulu, Glenn (Lynnette) Kaneshiro of Hilo, Diane Pierce of Volcano, Gale (James Pullen) Kaneshiro of San Diego and Janice (Steward) Nazzaro of Denver; brother, George Yokoi of El Cerrito, California; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Loretta Tagavilla
Loretta R. Tagavilla, 76, of Pahoa, died March 3, 2022, at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Hilo, she was retired from the Outrigger Hotel and a member of the Alu Like Kupuna Program in Pahoa.
Friends may call at 9 a.m. March 17 at Dodo Mortuary chapel in Hilo for a 10:30 a.m. service. Burial follows at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Family requests casual attire be worn.
