Doreen Maria McMillen, 69, of Kailua-Kona, died Feb. 9, 2022 in Kealakekua. She was born Oct. 31, 1952 in Hayward, California.

She is survived by son, Rick (Heather) Henson; and McMillen sisters, Lori, Cathy and Jackie.

Douglas Brandenburg
Douglas Michael Brandenburg, 70, of Na’alehu, died Feb. 11, 2022 at his residence. Born Oct. 22, 1951, he was a respiratory therapist.
Private services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Aloha-Ilio Animal Rescue.
He is survived by brother, Robert Brandenburg Jr. of Troy, Ohio; three nieces; a great-niece; and a great-nephew.

Wayne Pine
Wayne Makua Pine, 76, of Honokaa, died Jan. 31, 2022, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Aug. 25, 1945 in Kukuihaele, he was a heavy equipment operator for Hamakua Sugar Co., a security officer for Safeguard Services and Mauna Kea Beach Resort, and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Honokaa Ward.
Friends may call at 1 p.m. March 12 45-3323 Ohai St. in Honokaa for a celebration of life.
He is survived by companions, Norma Keliikipi of Honokaa and Cynthia Lewi of Waimea; sons, Evan (Ipo) Pine and Vernon Pine, all of Honokaa; daughter, Sharilynn Pine of Honokaa; numerous brothers and sisters; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Clarence Arnold Jr.
Clarence Vance Arnold Jr., 68, of Mountain View, died Feb. 28, 2022, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Jan. 19, 1954 in Honolulu, he was a carpenter/Journeyman for the Hilo Coast Plantation and a member of the Nunu Pidgeon Club, Arnold’s Poker Room and AA Maintenance.

He is survived by wife, Darlene Arnold; sons, Cala (Keleka) Arnold, Chase Arnold, John Arnold and Bryan Arnold; daughters, Lisa (Melvin) Cadaoas and Jennie (Herbie) Gomes; brothers, Mark (KC) Arnold and Patrick (Michelle) Arnold; sisters, Vivian Fujihara, Carla Cottrell, Dale Pfeifer, Carol Gonsalves, Suzie Thalheimer, Judy Soares, Cindy Durrett and Bernadine Jones; nine grandchildren; and numerous cousins.

Richard Perreira
Richard “Dickie” Charles Perreira, 75, of Hilo died Feb. 12, 2022, at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Hospice Facility. Born in Hilo, he was a retired firefighter for tehe County of Hawaii, owner of the former Aloha Pumping Service, member of the First Missionary Baptist Church and a veteran of the Hawaii Army National Guard during the Vietnam War.
Private services held.
He is survived by wife, Ruth Perreira of Hilo; children, Jacqueline (Corey) Green of Las Vegas, and Clayton (Nicole) Perreira and Calvin Perreira, all of Hilo; siblings, Betty Jane Bega of Maui, Francine Hollinger of Oahu, and Alfred Sextimo of Hilo; hanai brothers, Ted Nicolas and Terry Nicolas Sr., both of Hilo; two grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
