Cecil Kenneth Sisk Jr., 66, of Hilo, died Dec. 17, 2021, at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. He was born in Houston, Texas.

Ann Roney

Ann Phillips Roney, 87, of Hilo died Dec 27, 2021, at her residence. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, she was a medical technologist at Kaiser Hospital in Honolulu and Kohala, Honokaa, and Ka‘u hospitals, and at Hilo Medical Group, Realtor for Day-Lum Realty, member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Hilo Yacht Club, and volunteered for the Friends of the Children’s Justice Center and Friends of the Library.

Friendsmay call at 9 a.m. Jan. 4 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Papaikou for 10 a.m. Mass. Donations in memory of Ann may be made to the Friends of the Children’s Justice Center-East Hawaii at PO Box 6908, Hilo, HI 96720.

She is survived by husband, John Frederick Roney of Hilo; children, Beth Roney DeYoung of Hilo, John Frederick Roney Jr. of Santa Rosa, California, Katherine Phillips Roney of Redondo Beach, California, and Mary Patricia Roney of Honolulu; and six grandchildren.

Nobuaki Ikeda

Nobuaki Ikeda, 94, of Kealakekua, died Dec. 10, 2021 at Kona Community Hospital. Born Nov. 2, 1927, in Pahoa, he was a retired teacher at Konawaena High School, worked in the landscaping department at the King Kamehameha Hotel, coffee farmer, member of Bank Kumiai, advisor for the Kona Young Farmers and a U.S. Army veteran.

Private services will be held at a later date.

He is survived by wife, Molly Ikeda of Kealakekua; sons, Don (Lynn) Ikeda of Pearl City, Oahu, and Dean (Cindy) Ikeda Loveland, Colorado; brothers, Keichi (Grace) Ikeda and George (Paulina) Ikeda, all of Kailua-Kona; two grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Huston Minor

Huston Minor, 44, of Hilo, died Dec. 10, 2021, at the Medical Center. He was born in Majuro, Marshall Islands, and was a cook.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 8 for visitation at Ponahawai Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Funeral service at 9 a.m. Cremation will follow after 2 p.m. Casual attire; no flowers.

He is survived by wife, Jabdrik Minor of Hilo; sons, Amlek Minor, Justin Minor and Alex Minor of Hilo; father, Kranchy Minor of the Marshall Islands; mother, No Phillip of the Marshall Islands; brothers, Junior Minor and Clenny Minor of the Marshall Islands, Dickson (Pracy) Phillip of Arkansas, and Maston Minor of Sacramento, California; sisters, Kaliana (Noel) Jacob of Hilo, Moriana Phillip and Rosanna Minor of the Marshall Islands, Marbella Langidrik of Arkansas, Casa (Breatly) Jibas of Honolulu, Terryuko Joklur of Spokane Valley, Washington, and Terina (Jessy) Joseph and Emlina Kaious of Porterville, California; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Emiliano Hilua

Emilliano “Hank” Harry Hilua, 79, of Mesa, Arizona, died Nov. 3, 2021, in Arizona. Born in Paauilo, he was a retired police officer for the Honolulu Police Department, and a U.S. Army Vietnam War veteran.

Friends may call at 9 a.m. Jan. 8 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 10 a.m. service. Burial to follow at Alae Cemetery. A celebration of his life will follow at Wailoa State Park. Casual attire.

He is survived by daughters, Holly Kaku, Carmen (Mike) Barbadillo, Lorilei (Edward) DuBoyce, Alison (Duane) Meyer, Melissa (Evan) Ramos, Inga (Dylan) Crockett, and Evonne (Hector) Ayala; sisters, Geri (Guy) Kishinami, and Marcella (Shannon) Ah Hee; 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rhonda Faris

Rhonda “TeeTee” Ann Mahealani Faris, 61, of Hilo died Oct. 12, 2021 at Pohai Malama. Born on Oahu, she was an agricultural worker and a haku lei maker.

She is survived by daughter, Analea Faris (Ruben Padamada) of Pahoa; sons Waiehu Faris of Hilo, Kanu’u Faris of Pahoa, and Shaian (Tatiana) Abiley of Las Vegas; brother, Deric (Camille) Faris; sisters, Roxanne Taylor, Richelle Evangelista, Ramona (Bill) McEntire, and Maile (David) Chung; five grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Jo Ann Fujimoto

Jo Ann Fujimoto, 74, of Hilo, died Dec. 4, 2021 in Hilo. Born May 16, 1947, in Kohala, she worked at Foodland in Waimea.

She is survived daughters, Mindy (Cody) Roberts of Texas and Cheryl Fujimoto of Arizona; son, Brent (Brandi) Fujimoto; sister, Deborah Okubo of Kapaau; four grandsons; and nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Ernest Williamson Jr.

Ernest “Ernie” John Williamson Jr., 78, of Oceanview, died Dec. 19, 2021 at Hilo Medical Center. Born Sept. 24, 1943, in San Francisco, he was a U.S. Air Force Vietnam War veteran.

He is survived by a nephew and grandnephew.
