On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of the year, Americans around the country marked Veterans Day, including those attending a ceremony Thursday at the West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery in Kailua-Kona.

In the audience were representatives of each branch of the military, with Disabled American Veterans State of Hawaii Commander Raymond Welch delivering the keynote speech.
