Fire officials are investigating the cause of a Sunday night fire at a storage building in Hilo.
Responding to a 9:30 p.m. alarm, firefighters arrived at 505 Kilauea Avenue to find the contents of a two-bay concrete storage building on fire with smoke and flames pouring out, according to a media release from the Hawaii Fire Department.
Firefighters made access to the building, despite encountering security fencing and two blocked doors that had to be forced open, and extinguished the flames, saving the building. The fire was declared out at 10:39 p.m.
No injuries were reported.
