The Kamuela Philharmonic Orchestra presents “Triumphant Return” Sunday at Kahilu Theatre.

The 2 p.m. performance, led by Maestro Brian Dollinger in his sixth season with the orchestra, will be shown via livestream through KahiluTV. It is the group’s first 2021-22 Season MasterWorks and will feature pianists Crystal Ferreira and Aimee Okagawa, the two winners from the 2020 Madeline Schatz-Harris Concerto Competition.

The Kamuela Philharmonic Orchestra had to postpone its award performance experience from last January due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Ferreira’s and Okagawa’s performances of first movements of Mendelssohn’s Piano Concerto No. 1 and the celebrated Piano Concerto in A minor by Edward Grieg will most assuredly be an exciting experience.

Thanks to a generous grant from The Dorrance Foundation, the performance will be offered free of charge at kahilu.tv.
