Police ask for help locating missing Kona man

Hawaii Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 64-year-old Eliott Evans Moniz, of Kailua-Kona, who was reported missing.

Moniz was last seen on Aug. 25 at a residence in the Kailua-Kona area, according to the Hawaii Police Department. He is described as being Hawaiian, 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds, with brown eyes and balding hair. He has a tattoo of a leopard on his left chest area.

Moniz is also wanted an outstanding warrant of arrest.
