For the month of September, the Kailua Village Artists Gallery is featuring the works of seven guest artists from the Big Island.
Frank Andrews creates welded copper petroglyphs inspired from petroglyps found at historic locations around the Hawaiian Islands. Rachel Baker works with fused glass adding diachroic metal of Island imagery to her creations. Gigi Goochey is a jewelry artist combining her sterling silver jewelry with gems, beads, and shells to create her unique style of necklaces, bracelets and earrings. Brad Lewis is an internationally published and recognized photographer with an impressive portfolio of volcano photography taken over the last 30 years. Scott Pincus is a silversmith jewelry artis. Joseph Ster, creates metal art and jewelry of the Islands marine life and other inspirational pieces. Bill Twibell known as the “Fish Print Guy” specializes in the ancient art of Gyotaku. He paints large and small fish indigenous to Hawaii and then presses rice paper onto the fish to create limited prints.
The gallery is located at 75-5729 Alii Drive, Suite C-110, in the Kona Marketplace in Kailua-Kona. It is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
